Welcome to the Iron Range Half Marathon website!  Registration is open,  use the link above or click REGISTER.

This is a sanctioned event through USATF and is a certified half marathon.  Check us out on Facebook for more race details and announcements.

REGISTRATION

Registration is open. Registration will close August 16.  There are no refunds on registration but your bib can be transferred to another runner.  Transfers cannot be made to another race year.  Transfers will incur a $20 fee if made after August 9.

​Anyone found cheating will be disqualified.

​PACKET PICKUP

Packet Pickup is Friday, August 16th 5:00-8:00 PM at Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia (ITMEC) Iron Trail Motors Event Center

Packets not picked up on Friday will be available at the Bus Pickup area on Saturday morning.

RACE START

The Essentia Health Iron Range Half Marathon will begin at 7:00AM.

​The race will begin at the Mesabi Trail headquarters in Eveleth, MN and end at the ITMEC. 

Buses will transport racers from the ITMEC in the morning,  there will be two rounds to bus transportation.  The first round of bussing will begin loading at 5:45am and depart at 6:00am.  If you don't make the first round,  please be ready for pickup at 6:15am for the second trip.  There is limited parking at Mesabi Trail headquarters, so it is best to take the bus, or have a friend drop you off. 

AID STATIONS

Aid stations will be located approximately every 2 miles.  Each station will have water, and many stations will have additional nutritional aids.

PACERS

Professional pacing will be provided by Marathon Pacing, check out their website for additional details. http://marathonpacing.com/ironrange.php

AWARDS

All finishers will receive a finishers shirt and medal.

​Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers, as well as the following age categories:

​Male and Female: <19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70<
